Float Pool Nursing Position
Shift & Schedule
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 hours/week with potential overtime | Every other weekend and holiday rotation required | 13-week contract
About the Role
You'll join a float pool providing care across multiple inpatient units. Using the nursing process, you'll deliver high-quality care to diverse patient populations including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, psychiatric, and telemetry patients. You'll collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to maintain professional nursing standards.
Float Scope
You'll rotate across non-critical care inpatient units within the facility, and may float to other campus locations as needed. Potential assignments include Behavioral Health, the Emergency Department (for boarded patients), and if you have critical care experience, the CCU or ICU. You may occasionally be placed on call during low-census periods; if called in, you're expected to arrive on-site within one hour.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- ACLS certification required
- Telemetry experience and ability to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia test during orientation (self-study materials provided)
- Experience with electronic health records in a similar unit within the last 12 months
- Ability to float between units and campuses as assigned
