Advanced Telemetry RN — Nights | Laconia, NH
This telemetry unit manages intermediate-to-high acuity patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, vasoactive and antiepileptic drip management, and close neurological assessment. Nurses on this unit are expected to be proficient with Cardizem and insulin drips (hyperglycemia management, not DKA) as well as Phenobarbital administration in the telemetry setting.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 36-hour weekly guarantee
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: ASAP
- Local candidates (within 50 miles) are welcome
Float Requirements
- May float to a psych annex (orientation provided), lower-acuity step-down, and med/surg telemetry
- Emergency float to a nearby sister facility may be requested on an as-needed basis
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active New Hampshire or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Clinical Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience with Advanced Telemetry specialty
- Advanced Telemetry experience is required; first-time travelers with strong backgrounds will be considered
- NURSYS license verification for all active RN licenses required
Preferred
- Prior experience with cardiac monitoring systems and drip management in a telemetry environment
