Vascular Sonographer – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Vascular Sonographer for a night shift assignment. You'll work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, over a 13-week contract.
Clinical Scope
You'll perform approximately 15 ultrasound scans daily across general, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging. Your responsibilities include:
- Abdominal and small parts ultrasound (liver vessel evaluation, kidneys, bladder)
- Transabdominal and transvaginal gynecologic imaging (non-high-risk OB/GYN)
- First trimester OB evaluations (dating, measurements, anatomy scans)
- Limited second/third trimester assessments (biophysical profiles, measurements, fluid checks)
- Venous doppler studies (upper and lower extremities, DVT evaluation)
- Arterial doppler studies (lower extremity, ABIs, aorta, carotids)
- Renal and hepatic doppler imaging
- Testicular/scrotal evaluation
- Thyroid imaging
- Assistance with ultrasound-guided procedures (fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, thoracentesis) — preferred but not required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 24 months sonographer/vascular technologist experience
- ARDMS (AB) certification
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency with general/abdominal, vascular, and non-high-risk OB/GYN imaging
- Experience with electronic medical records
Highly Preferred
- ARDMS (RVT) and ARDMS (OB/GYN) certifications
