Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Mayfield Heights, OH

This 13-week travel contract places you on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit working nights in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The unit provides telemetry monitoring alongside general medical-surgical care, requiring nurses comfortable managing a cardiac-monitored patient population across a range of acuity levels.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or multi-state compact license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required (no pending certifications accepted)
• NIHSS certification required

Assessments

• ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessment completed during orientation; two attempts maximum to pass

Compliance & Background

• Criminal background check required; open cases will not be accepted
• No active license restrictions accepted
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free requirements

References

• One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the same specialty — from an assignment within the past 12 months; peer references are not accepted

Extensions

• Contracts may be extended up to 18 months continuously, after which a 6-month break is required

Pre-Start Modules

• Expect approximately 6–15 hours of online modules to be completed before your start date
