Position Overview
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience (1.5 years absolute minimum)
- AWHONN Advanced certification (required to pass screening)
- ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Demonstrated expertise performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision
- Ability to perform assessments
- Valid state license (compact license accepted)
Clinical Scope
You'll manage laboring patients through delivery, including induction, antepartum monitoring, and high-risk cases. Responsibilities encompass sterile vaginal exams, fetal heart rate monitoring (internal and external), assistance with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, immediate postpartum recovery, and newborn assessment. The unit handles labor induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, multiple births, preterm labor, and high-risk antepartum patients. Two ORs support surgical deliveries and urgent procedures.
Schedule & Flexibility
- Day shift only (no call required)
- Minimum every-other-weekend coverage; may exceed to meet unit needs
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All scheduling requests and time-off (RTO) must be submitted upfront during application
- Willingness to float to sister mother-baby units as needed

- Scrub color: Royal blue (L&D/OR provided)
