Operating Room – Surgical Services
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Operating Room Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work in a multi-specialty surgical environment supporting a wide range of procedures with a dynamic surgical team.
Shift & Schedule
- 10-hour evening rotating shifts with start times at 9 AM, 11 AM, or 3 PM
- Flexibility to transition to day shifts (7 AM start)
- 2 short calls (2 hours post-shift) and 2 weekend/weeknight calls per 4-week schedule
- Weekend calls: 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM (once monthly)
- Weeknight call: 7 PM–7 AM when working days (once weekly)
- Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly
Clinical Environment
You'll support surgical cases across multiple specialties including orthopedic procedures (joint replacements, sports medicine), general surgery, gynecology, urology, robotics, oncology, ophthalmology, ENT, plastic surgery, and interventional pulmonology.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of related surgical technologist experience
- Strong orthopedic and total joint experience required
- Experience with gynecology and general surgery
- Current BLS certification
- Massachusetts surgical technologist license
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Preferred
- Experience in a teaching hospital environment
- Specialty area expertise
Contract Details
- Start date: October 12, 2026 (minimum 4 weeks notice required)
- Weekly orientation (Mondays, excluding holidays)
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
