Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Asheville, NC

Shift: Nights, 18:45–07:15 (4 x 12-hour shifts)

Contract Duration: 6 weeks | 48 hours guaranteed

This busy Emergency Department serves a highly diverse, multicultural community and is known for strong teamwork and a welcoming culture. The department manages a wide range of acuities, from high-acuity medical emergencies to behavioral health holds, and operates across multiple internal sections including , cardiac monitoring, and internal processing.

Scheduling & Float

• Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling not available; schedule must flex to meet departmental needs
• No floating outside the ED; must be open to working all sections within the ED

Required Certifications (prior to start date unless noted)

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC within 90 days of hire

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of RN experience with a minimum of 1 year in an emergency department setting
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Ability to work flexibly across all areas of the ED

Orientation

• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour on-unit shift

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs (all navy, all white, or a navy/white combination)

Patient Experience

• AIDET communication standards expected; patient boards and updates maintained throughout each visit
