ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract: 13 weeks

Start Date: October 7, 2026

About the Role

The facility's ICU is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support. You'll manage high-acuity patients, titrate vasoactive and sedation medications, monitor hemodynamics, and collaborate with the care team on complex patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assessment and monitoring of critically ill patients
  • Manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
  • Administer medications including titratable drips per physician orders
  • Respond to acute changes in patient condition and perform rapid response/code interventions
  • Document care accurately in the medical record
  • Educate patients and families on treatment and condition
  • Maintain infection control and safety protocols
  • Work within established patient ratios per acuity guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • Active New York State RN license with primary source verification
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
  • Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
  • Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
  • AHA BLS certification
  • AHA ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN
  • CCRN certification

Experience with critical care equipment and a strong foundation in ICU nursing are essential. This is a night shift position in a fast-paced critical care environment.
