NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Level III

Shift & Contract

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-week contract | 36 guaranteed hours per week

About the Role

The facility's Level III NICU cares for critically ill and medically complex neonates, including infants requiring advanced respiratory support and therapeutic cooling. You'll work independently managing high-acuity patients while collaborating closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the broader care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates
• Manage infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia/cooling
• Care for patients on ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen
• Monitor and manage central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), and other invasive devices
• Administer IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
• Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and respond quickly to patient deterioration
• Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Support families with education and emotional care throughout hospitalization
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation

What You'll Need

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• 3–4+ years of Level III NICU experience
• Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Comfort managing extremely high-acuity patients

Travel experience is preferred.
