Medical-Surgical Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
Join the medical-surgical unit at the facility in Atlanta, GA. You'll care for patients across a range of acute medical and surgical conditions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 21, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months medical-surgical nursing experience
- Active Georgia or compact nursing license
- NIHSS certification (required)
- BLS certification (required)
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients with common acute diagnoses including CHF, COPD, sepsis, ia, gastrointestinal bleeding, renal failure, and altered mental status. The unit performs procedures including IV insertion, PICC line placement, lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, and feeding tube insertion. You'll interpret telemetry and work within the facility's electronic health records system.
What We're Looking For
Strong assessment and procedural skills, ability to prioritize in a busy unit, and comfort with telemetry interpretation. You should be organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
This is a straightforward clinical role—no administrative duties, just skilled nursing care.
