Emergency Department Nurse – Night Shift

The Opportunity

Join a dynamic, high-acuity Emergency Department providing specialized care across diverse patient populations. This unit emphasizes quality patient care and has earned recognition for its expertise in geriatric emergency medicine. You'll work alongside an experienced, collaborative team with strong clinical leadership.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shifts: 12-hour rotation (3P–3A or 7P–7A)
• Hours: 36 per week (three 12-hour shifts)
• Weekend requirement: One weekend shift per contracted week, or two weekend shifts every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: Minimum one holiday per contract
• Blocked scheduling: Rotating or fixed block options available (Thurs/Fri/Sat, Fri/Sat/Sun, or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• On-call: Optional, averaging ~2 hours per week; can be picked up in 4-, 8-, 12-, or 16-hour blocks (7P–7A)

Contract Details

• Duration: 16 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 112 hours per contract week
• Start date: November 16, 2026
• Location requirement: Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience (2 years U.S. work history required for international candidates)
• NIH and AHA BLS certifications

Manage acutely ill and injured patients in a fast-paced environment, delivering evidence-based emergency care with a focus on geriatric-specific protocols and best practices.
