Inpatient Rehabilitation RN — Greensboro, NC

13-Week Contract | Days | 3x12s (07:00–19:30)

This inpatient rehabilitation unit provides specialized nursing care for adults and geriatric patients recovering from neurological and complex medical events, including CVA, TBI, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-operative surgical cases such as aneurysm repair. The unit operates with full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, IV teams, pharmacy, social services, rapid response, and phlebotomy.

Schedule & Float

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (07:00–19:30)
• Every 3rd weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float to other system campuses required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Medication reconciliation and laboratory result interpretation
• Vital sign assessment, dressing changes, aseptic/sterile field setup
• Specimen collection and labeling (capillary, throat, UA, phlebotomy)
• Telephone and pharmacy coordination/patient refill requests

Patient Population

• Adults and geriatric patients
• Diagnoses include CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological conditions, and generalized debility

Requirements

• Active RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers are not eligible
• BLS certification required
• EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• No candidates within 50-mile radius of facility; current driver's license required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Acute care rehab experience preferred
