Med/Surg Tele RN – 18-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for winter coverage. This is a rotating shift position with potential to float to additional units caring for the same patient population.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts (day: 07:00–19:30 | night: 19:00–07:30)
• Variable scheduling to meet operational needs
• Must work every other holiday
• 18 weeks (13-week contracts also considered)

Requirements

• 12 months permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele
• Active Ohio or compact state RN license (in hand at submission)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from past 12 months required

Clinical Focus

You'll provide care to medical/surgical telemetry patients with the potential to float to similar-acuity units to support the same patient population.

Orientation & Assessment

During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Both require acceptable scores; you'll have two attempts maximum to pass.

What to Expect

Background checks and clearances must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Annual competency requirements apply for continuous or returning contracts. Pre-start modules typically range 6–15 hours.
