Oncology

Oncology RN — Night Shift | Fountain Valley, CA | 13-Week Contract

This 13-week travel assignment places you in an Oncology unit in Fountain Valley, CA, caring for an adult and geriatric patient population with a daily census of 21–26 patients.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Self-scheduling
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• No on-call requirement

Float Requirements

Candidates must be comfortable floating to Med/Surg, Med/Tele, ED, and Postpartum based on census needs.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• ACLS, BLS, and Chemotherapy Certification

Clinical Skills Required

• Chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Port access and management
• Central line and PICC line care
• Telemetry interpretation and remote monitoring
• IV insulin and heparin protocol management
• Blood product administration
• Tracheostomy care
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Pre/post hemodialysis care
• Wound care/wound vac

Interdisciplinary Support

The unit is supported by physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, radiology, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• 1 professional reference within the past 2 years
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted at time of application
