Oncology RN – Night Shift | Fountain Valley, CA | 13-Week Contract

This Oncology unit in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week night shift contract. The unit serves adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of 21–26.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Self-scheduling
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• No on-call requirement

Float Requirements

Nurses may float to Med/Surg, Med/Tele, ED, and Postpartum based on census needs.

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS
• Chemotherapy certification

Required Skills

• Chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Port access and management
• Central line and PICC line care
• Blood product administration
• Telemetry interpretation and remote monitoring
• IV insulin and heparin protocol management
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Tracheostomy care
• Wound care/wound vac
• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Rapid Response/Code team participation

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience required
• Active California RN license required (in hand at time of submission)
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• 1 professional reference within the past 2 years
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted at time of application; no RTO added after submission
• Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, radiology, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams.
