RN – Emergency Department (Freestanding ED)

Austin, TX | 13-Week Contract | Nights

This 13-week contract places you in a freestanding emergency department in the Austin, TX area. The unit operates as a standalone ED, managing acute emergency presentations with a small, close-knit care team.

Shift Details

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Rotating weekends | No call requirements

Unit & Clinical Scope

• Freestanding emergency department setting
• Typical procedures include IV starts, 12-lead EKGs, and comprehensive patient assessments
• Patient population spans a broad range of acute emergency presentations
• Ventilators and point-of-care lab equipment available on unit
• Night shift staffing: 1 Charge Nurse + 1 RN

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Emergency department experience required
• FSED (freestanding emergency department) experience preferred and prioritized
