Emergency Department / Trauma RN — Houston, TX

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract | 36 Hours Guaranteed

This Emergency Department position is based at a facility in Houston, Texas, operating as a comprehensive stroke center (survey pending) and housing a dedicated chest pain center. The ED manages a high-acuity, multidisciplinary patient population including trauma, stroke, and cardiac presentations.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week

Clinical Scope

Nurses in this unit perform a full range of trauma and emergency procedures, working alongside a collaborative team that includes paramedics, PCTs, and behavioral health technicians. The unit manages diverse acuity levels with an emphasis on rapid assessment and intervention for trauma, stroke, and chest pain patients.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior trauma or emergency department experience
• Strong teamwork orientation and positive, adaptable attitude
