Labor & Delivery Nurse – Nights
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a 16-week night contract. You'll provide direct patient care to laboring mothers and deliver evidence-based support during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Days: Weekends and holidays as needed
- Duration: 16 weeks (through January 2, 2027)
- Guaranteed hours: 112 contract weeks
Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using fetal heart rate monitoring
- Provide labor support and comfort measures
- Assist with deliveries and immediate postpartum care
- Float to Mother Baby when L&D census is low to provide newborn care
Requirements
- 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Current RN license (active in Texas)
- Active driver's license
- Must reside within 100 miles of the facility
Certifications Required
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- Fetal Monitoring
- STABLE (optional)
