Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech

Position Overview

The facility's Radiology Department is seeking an experienced Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech for a 13-week assignment. You'll work in a general ultrasound setting performing diagnostic imaging for adult and pediatric patients, including biopsy procedures.

Schedule & On-Call

  • Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM (40 guaranteed hours per week)
  • 1 weekday night on-call per week
  • Every 4th weekend on-call rotation
  • Holiday on-call required
  • Cyclic scheduling with 8- or 9-hour shifts

Requirements

  • ARRT and ARDMS certifications
  • BLS certification
  • X-ray experience required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius
  • Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or as PRN at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year

Work Environment

  • 2 ultrasound rooms (general ultrasound only)
  • Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift
  • One week of onboarding, Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM

Important Policies

  • Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas; refusal to comply will result in contract termination
  • Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment
