Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool
Position Overview
The facility is seeking registered nurses for a float pool role supporting medical-surgical telemetry and other inpatient units. You'll work nights with flexibility and variety—perfect for nurses who thrive in dynamic environments.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (your choice)
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as scheduled
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Float Requirements
You must be willing to float to multiple units and, when needed, other facilities within the system. This role demands adaptability and strong foundational nursing skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- Current RN license (Alabama or compact; no temporary licenses)
- AHA BLS and Red Cross certification
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in specialty (or 18 months with 1 year recent experience in medical-surgical/telemetry)
Clinical Environment
You'll care for medical-surgical telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing a range of acute care needs. Solid Navy scrubs required.
