Cardiac Surgery RN — OR

The Opportunity

The facility's cardiac surgery operating room is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the surgical team. You'll work day shifts in a fast-paced environment performing critical roles in coronary artery bypass grafts, valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, aortic dissections, and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantations.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 10-hour days: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 26-week contract
• No floating — dedicated to cardiac surgery
• On-call: Average 2 weekends per 6 weeks (Friday–Sunday); occasional holiday coverage (1 winter, 1 summer)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years cardiac surgery experience (scrub and circulate roles)
• Trauma Level II facility experience required
• Current PA RN license at time of submission
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and CNOR preferred
• Valid references and certification copies required

Clinical Scope

You'll manage complex cardiac cases including CABGs, aortic and mitral valve procedures, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs. You'll work with specialty equipment including cell savers, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and ventricular assist devices. First-time travelers with strong cardiac surgery credentials are welcome.

• Pre-start compliance required (labs within 48 hours; fingerprints within 1 week)
