Night Shift RN – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN for night shift work. You'll care for patients on continuous cardiac monitoring, managing a mix of post-operative, acute medical, and telemetry patients.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 23, 2026
Required Qualifications
- 12 months permanent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
- Current, active the facility or compact state RN license (must be in hand at submission)
- Active BLS (American Red Cross) and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification required prior to start
- One manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference from past 12 months (Charge RN references accepted; co-worker references will not be considered)
- Willing to complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores required
Requirements & Compliance
- Negative 10-panel drug screen (updated annually)
- Background check and fingerprinting (BCI/FBI) within 48 hours of contract signing
- Nicotine-free status required
- Facility-specific onboarding modules (6–15 hours pre-start)
What to Expect
You'll complete orientation assessments in ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate, with a maximum of two attempts to achieve acceptable scores. Annual competency requirements apply for extended contracts.
