Medical Surgical ICU — Travel RN | Night Shift | Augusta, GA

Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Contract Duration: 14 weeks | Start Date: September 28, 2026

Minimum Experience: 1 year (first-time travelers considered)

Unit Overview

This Medical Surgical ICU cares for adult and geriatric patients across a broad spectrum of high-acuity diagnoses, including sepsis/septic shock, respiratory failure, post-cardiac arrest, GI bleed/hemorrhagic shock, DKA, acute kidney disease, pulmonary embolus, hypertensive emergencies, cardiac arrhythmias, drug overdose, metabolic encephalopathy, and malignant neoplasms. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams.

Procedures & Clinical Skills

• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Targeted Temperature Management (TTM)
• Central line and arterial line insertion assistance and maintenance
• Chest tubes, bronchoscopies, lumbar punctures, peritoneal dialysis
• Continuous IV infusions: vasopressors, paralytics, sedatives, and cardiac drips
• Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula
• Continuous bladder irrigation, blood product administration

Requirements

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Charge experience a plus

Schedule & Logistics

• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Float within scope of practice as needed
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage expected per standard assignment policy
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Scrub color: Navy blue
