Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a day shift contract. You'll work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, caring for post-acute and intermediate-acuity patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications (required at time of submission)
- Permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand
- One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in your specialty (from the past 12 months)
- NIHSS certification preferred
Contract Details
- 13–20 week contract options
- Day shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Start date: October 5, 2026
- Extensions available up to 18 months; 6-month break required thereafter
Onboarding
During orientation, you'll complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments (two attempts permitted). Pre-start modules average 6–15 hours depending on your background. Annual competency requirements apply to continuous assignments exceeding one year.
Required Vaccinations
COVID-19 and influenza vaccines are required (medical or religious exemptions considered).
Background & Compliance
Background check and drug screening required. Candidates with open cases or license violations will not be considered. Background clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
