Orthopedics & Spine RN — Night Shift | Overland Park, KS

This fast-paced orthopedic and spine unit manages adult patients with orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions (including stroke and head injury), and trauma. All rooms are private, and the unit stays consistently busy with high volume across its specialty.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 4 × 12-hour nights (18:45–07:15)
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
• Start Date: August 10, 2026

Clinical Scope

• Orthopedic injury, spine conditions, neurological and trauma cases
• Procedures include wound care and dressing changes
• Equipment: traction, external fixators, halos, walkers, gait belts, bed alarms, continuous pulse oximetry, and remote telemetry monitoring
• Team-based mobile communication platform used every shift to coordinate with PT, OT, radiology, respiratory, and other departments

Weekend & Rotation Requirements

• Rotate every 3rd weekend (may increase to every other weekend during LOA coverage)

Dress Code

• Royal Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license
• BLS certification
• Acute care experience in a med/surg or telemetry setting

Preferred Qualifications

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
