Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Louisville, KY

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Schedule: Every other weekend

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: October 11, 2026

About the Role

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions, working collaboratively with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms; identify and escalate arrhythmias promptly
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate on the plan of care and ensure accurate EMR documentation
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Manage a typical patient load per facility acuity guidelines

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• 2+ years of acute inpatient RN experience
• 1+ year of telemetry experience
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted

Qualifications

This is a patient-centered role emphasizing quality outcomes, safety, and evidence-based practice. You'll mentor and support licensed and non-licensed staff while participating in quality improvement initiatives.
