Pediatric OR Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Operating Room. You'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic surgical environment, supporting pediatric patients across a variety of surgical specialties while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team.

Schedule & Contract

• Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM, Friday mandatory
• Call: Every 5th weekend, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Saturday–Sunday)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 11, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and scrub nursing duties across general surgery, orthopedic, GYN, urology, ENT, and other pediatric surgical specialties
• Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and equipment
• Conduct pre-operative assessments; verify surgical site, consent, and procedure per protocol
• Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor patient safety and status throughout surgery
• Manage supplies and equipment, ensuring proper function and availability
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and post-operative handoff
• Document intraoperative care accurately

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (state or compact)
• 2+ years acute care RN experience, with experience in Pediatric OR
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• ADN or higher (BSN preferred)
• Ability to function in circulating and/or scrub roles
