Medical-Surgical Nurse – 13-Week Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Med-Surg nurse for a 13-week assignment in Atlanta, GA. You'll work day shifts on a busy medical-surgical unit providing direct patient care and performing charge nurse duties as needed.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3 × 12-hour shifts per week)
- Hours: 36 hours/week
- Start: Every Monday
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Scrubs: Navy blue
Clinical Scope
You'll care for post-operative and acute medical patients, including those requiring wound care management. Experience with PCA and epidural pain management is essential. Flexibility to step into the charge nurse role when requested is required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Surgical nursing background
- Wound care and PCA/epidural experience
- Current BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- GA or Compact license in hand at time of hire
Assignment Details
- Travel required; candidates must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Guaranteed hours over contract period
- Relocation support available
