Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology Nurse

Position Overview

Join a busy cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology department supporting high-acuity cardiac and vascular interventions. You'll work in a fast-paced environment managing complex procedures and emergency cases.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 5 days per week (8-hour shifts)
• On-call: 1 week on / 1 week off, 24/7 availability with 30-minute arrival time
• 13-week contract
• Weekends required

Required Certifications & Experience

• BSN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1+ years acute care hospital experience
• Prior cardiac cath lab experience (REQUIRED)
• Prior interventional radiology experience (REQUIRED)
• Experience with IR cardiac call or IR neuro call preferred
• Circulating and scrub experience required

Clinical Scope

You'll support procedures including:

• PCI, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization
• STEMI and NSTEMI cases, pacemaker and ICD insertions
• Impella and IABP placement and management
• Embolization, drain placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis
• Carotid stenting, endovascular interventions, TAVR

Patient populations include acute coronary syndromes, cardiogenic shock, peripheral arterial disease, stroke, pulmonary embolism, and vascular emergencies across all age groups.

Environment

15–20 interventional cases daily. Collaborative team with respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response support.

• Multi-state or pending Texas license accepted
• One supervisory reference required
• Disclosure of any prior legal action
