Cardiac Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology Nurse
Position Overview
Join a busy interventional suite performing high-acuity cardiac and vascular procedures. You'll support STEMI cases, vascular emergencies, pacemaker and Impella insertions, balloon pump placements, and a full range of interventional radiology procedures including embolizations, drain placements, and biopsies.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 5 days per week (case-dependent start times 6–8 AM; latest departure 5–6 PM on non-call days)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- On-Call: 1 week on / 1 week off, 24/7 availability with 30-minute arrival time
- Weekends: Required
- Start Date: September 29, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Licenses & Certifications: BSN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years acute-care hospital experience; prior cardiac cath lab AND interventional radiology experience mandatory (hard stop)
- Skills: Circulating and scrubbing experience essential
- Pending Texas license or multi-state license accepted
Clinical Scope
You'll manage diverse patient populations (pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric) with diagnoses including acute MI, stroke, aortic dissection, peripheral arterial disease, pulmonary embolism, and liver/renal cancers. The unit performs 15–20 IR cases daily with support from respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
Key Procedures
Cardiac catheterization, PCI, left/right heart cath, TAVR, pacemaker/ICD placement, IABP and Impella management, paracentesis, thoracentesis, embolization, biopsies, nephrostomy placement, and more.

Spanish-speaking population; translator staff available. Must provide one supervisory reference and disclose any prior legal action.
