Catheterization Technologist – Cardiac Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology

Position Overview

The facility's catheterization lab seeks an experienced Catheterization Technologist to support diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac interventions, as well as interventional radiology procedures. You'll work in a fast-paced environment managing diverse patient populations across all age groups, with a strong emphasis on emergency and acute care cases.

Schedule & On-Call

• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (typically 6:00–14:00; start time 6–8 am based on scheduled cases)
• On-call rotation: 7 days on / 7 days off (24/7 availability required during on-call week)
• 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating duties during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Support STEMI cases, vascular emergencies, pacemaker insertions, Impella placements, and balloon pump insertions
• Assist with interventional radiology and neuro-intervention procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff in a high-acuity environment

Required Qualifications

• Cardiac Cath Lab experience (essential)
• Circulating experience required
• Minimum 1+ years acute care hospital experience
• Current licensure: Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
• Associate degree in applied science from an accredited radiology or cardiovascular technology program
• Current CPR certification
• Valid Texas license (pending or multi-state licenses accepted)

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro intervention and interventional radiology experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
• First-time travelers welcome

• 12 hours of pre-start training modules required
• Supervisory reference required with submission
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius accepted
