Respiratory Therapist – Nights
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift contract, starting October 6, 2026. This role supports patients across multiple acute care settings, with required experience in NICU and emergency department care.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients with respiratory distress, analyze blood and sputum samples, and conduct lung capacity testing.
- Treatment Administration: Deliver oxygen therapy, administer aerosol medications, and perform chest physiotherapy.
- Ventilator Management: Set up, manage, and operate mechanical ventilators for patients requiring life support.
- Emergency Response: Provide rapid-response care, including artificial respiration, airway management, and CPR.
- Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain accurate patient records, consult with physicians on treatment plans, and participate in discharge planning.
- Patient Education: Teach patients and families disease management and home equipment operation.
Required Qualifications
- NICU experience required
- Emergency Department experience required
- Current respiratory therapist license/certification
- BLS/ACLS certification
Schedule
Night shift; 13-week contract duration.
