Radiology Technologist – Evening Shift

Position Overview

The facility's radiology department is seeking experienced radiologic technologists for an 8-hour evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). This is a 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week.

About the Role

You'll support a busy radiology service handling a full spectrum of imaging across emergency, operating room, inpatient, and outpatient settings. The department schedules one patient per hour, allowing adequate time to manage both scheduled and acute cases. A radiologist is on-site or on-call to support your work.

What You'll Need

  • Current BLS certification
  • ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist)
  • California State certification for radiologic technologists
  • Fluoroscopy permit (required for OR and routine work)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CT certification (ARRT-CT)
  • Mammography certification
  • OR experience
  • Venipuncture experience

Scheduling & Orientation

  • 8-hour evening shifts; specific start times (7 AM, 3 PM, or 10–11 AM) vary by CT proficiency and assignment
  • Weekend call may apply depending on your credentials
  • Orientation: 2 days for general rad techs (1 day portables, 1 day OR); varies for CT-certified staff
  • Hospital provides scrubs

  • Up to 4 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week contract
  • Holidays covered by call
