Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Boston, MA
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: October 19, 2026
This is a fast-paced Emergency Department role in a high-volume urban setting, managing a broad and complex patient population across a large, active ED. Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during this assignment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 2 weekends per 4-week schedule period
- Every other holiday
- Commitment required through January 9, 2027
Float Requirements
Candidates must be flexible to float to the Psychiatric ED and Pediatric ED (patients ages 15+; prior pediatric experience required for younger patients).
Required Experience
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or
- 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
- Must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, identify heart blocks, and pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
Preferred Experience
- Previous travel assignments
- Critical care background
Required Certifications (must be active/unexpired)
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
Clinical Details
- High patient volume with varied acuity levels
- Patient ratio: 4–5 patients depending on acuity
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be classified as local and compensated at the local rate.
