Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) — Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Intermediate Care Unit, a fast-paced environment managing complex, high-acuity patients requiring close monitoring and skilled intervention.
Unit & Patient Population
You'll care for patients with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy. This role involves administering heparin drips and providing comprehensive intermediate-level care.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Day shifts, 12-hour blocks
- Schedule: 4 days per week
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks
- Hours: 48 hours per week guaranteed
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Demonstrated competency with heparin drips and IV medications
- Valid RN license
Work Environment
You'll work in a collaborative setting with a standard patient-to-nurse ratio, supporting a diverse patient population requiring vigilant assessment and intervention.
