Operating Room RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shifts, 4x10 hours (9:00 AM – 7:30 PM), in a busy surgical environment serving adults and geriatric patients.
Clinical Scope
You'll scrub cases across multiple specialties including:
- Total joint replacement
- Neurosurgery
- Hybrid vascular and endovascular procedures
- Robotic-assisted surgery
- General, gynecologic, and urologic surgery
- Vascular, thoracic, bariatric, plastics, ENT, and podiatry cases
Trauma experience is required. First-time travelers with appropriate OR background are welcome.
Requirements
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years OR nursing experience
- Current state RN license
- BLS certification
- Trauma case experience
Scheduling & Culture
- No floating; no blocked scheduling
- Weekend commitment: 1 weekend per 6 weeks (optional holiday coverage)
- Scrubs provided
- 12-hour orientation included
- 50 daily cases across 19 operating rooms
