Labor & Delivery – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for night shift work in a fast-paced obstetric unit serving neonates, adolescents, and adults. This is a 26-week contract beginning October 5, 2026.
Shift & Scheduling
- Night shift: 3x12-hour (19:00–07:00); 4x12 available upon request
- Float required between like units
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week; facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during application; post-offer changes may not be granted
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of active labor and postpartum experience (first-time travelers accepted with full experience)
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certification
- Valid compact state license at time of submission
- Two references from the past three years
Preferred Qualifications
- AWHONN Advanced certification
Clinical Scope
You'll manage a full spectrum of obstetric care: vaginal and cesarean deliveries, high-risk pregnancies, neonatal resuscitation, fetal monitoring, pain management, postpartum hemorrhage response, and patient/family education. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

Refusal to float between sister facilities may result in assignment termination and loss of guaranteed hours.
