Night Shift Labor & Post-Partum Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Post-Partum nurse for night shifts. This role requires a strong clinical background in labor management, delivery support, and post-partum/neonatal care. Labor and post-partum experience is essential.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); 4x12 shifts available upon request
- 13-week contract
- Float required between similar units
- Guaranteed hours; facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- Current RN license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications
- Preferred: AWHONN Advanced certification
- Two professional references covering at least one year within the last three years
Clinical Scope
You'll manage the full spectrum of labor and delivery care: admission and , fetal monitoring, labor support, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, post-partum hemorrhage management, neonatal resuscitation, and newborn assessment. You'll also provide couplet care, breastfeeding support, and parent education.
Unit Details
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Scrubs: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
- 36-hour orientation provided
Important Notes
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application
- Must commit to working three of five holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Floaters may be expected to work at nearby sister facilities
