Inpatient Rehabilitation Nurse – Night Shift | Greensboro, NC

13-Week Contract | Nights 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts

This inpatient rehabilitation unit provides specialized nursing care for adults and geriatric patients recovering from complex neurological and surgical events. Patient diagnoses include CVA, TBI, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, and generalized debility, including post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-surgical cases.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every 3rd weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float required — travelers may be assigned to other campuses as needed

Clinical Responsibilities

• Interpretation of laboratory results and dysrhythmias/EKG
• Medication reconciliation and telephone
• Vital signs, patient health history, and allergy documentation
• Dressing changes; aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup
• Specimen collection, phlebotomy, and UA clean catch
• Pharmacy coordination and patient refill requests

• Adults and geriatric patients

Interdisciplinary Support

IV therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response, pharmacy, and transportation teams are all available on unit.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; no first-time travelers
• Acute care rehab experience preferred
• BLS required
• EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Active RN license required at time of submission
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
