Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 40 hours guaranteed per week
About the Role
The facility is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to develop and deliver customized treatment plans for residents. You will work across swallowing, cognitive, and communication disorders—creating techniques that improve both expression and comprehension while reducing aspiration risk.
You'll lead speech-language pathology and audiology services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies, ensuring residents receive high-quality, individualized care.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop treatment plans targeting swallowing, cognition, and communication abilities
- Deliver direct patient care and lead service delivery across your caseload
- Build and manage your patient referrals proactively while meeting facility productivity expectations
- Communicate barriers to treatment completion to facility leadership
- Document care in accordance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- Texas license or compact privilege (required)
- 2+ years of Speech-Language Pathology experience (required)
- No on-call or weekend obligations
Guaranteed Hours Policy
You are expected to build your caseload using available referrals and treatment opportunities. Guaranteed hours apply when you remain onsite and available, but the facility cannot provide sufficient patient volume. Missed or shortened sessions should be rescheduled when clinically appropriate.
