Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Assignment Details
8-week contract | 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Start: November 30, 2026
About the Role
You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit, monitoring patients with cardiac conditions and managing their clinical needs. This is a busy, fast-paced environment where strong assessment skills and telemetry expertise are essential.
Key Expectations
- Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (excludes on-call time)
- Float to similar units and overflow areas as needed
- Weekends and holidays expected; maximum three days RTO allowed (no holiday RTO approved)
- FLU vaccination required during compliance
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to pass telemetry competency exam
- Documented professional development activities
Pre-Assignment Testing
You'll complete two competency exams during onboarding:
- ECG/Telemetry test
- Medications test
Both exams are administered via Zoom within 48 hours of your offer. You must achieve 85% to pass; there is one attempt only with no remediation. Study materials will be provided in advance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Charge nurse experience
- Knowledge of critical paths
