Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its medical-surgical telemetry unit. This is an 8-week contract assignment beginning November 30, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekends and holidays required
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly
• Limited time-off requests (maximum three days; no holiday RTO approved)
• Float assignments to like units and overflow areas expected

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of med-surg telemetry experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Flu vaccination required per compliance
• Documented professional development activities

Pre-Assignment Testing

You will complete two competency exams prior to your start date (administered via Zoom within 48 hours of offer):

• Dysrhythmia & Medication Test — 85% passing score required; one attempt only with no remediation opportunity. Study materials will be provided.
• Telemetry Competency Exam — Must pass to proceed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge nurse experience
• Knowledge of critical paths

Required Licensure & Credentials

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS and BLS certifications

This assignment offers stable, guaranteed hours and the opportunity to work in a telemetry-focused environment managing monitored patients on a med-surg unit.
