Registered Nurse – Wound Care

Position Overview

Join the wound care team in a clinical coordinator role supporting patient care from initial consultation through discharge and follow-up. You'll work closely with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary providers to manage patient flow, education, and quality initiatives.

Shift & Schedule

  • 8-hour day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • No float required
  • 13-week contract
  • Start date: October 12, 2026

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
  • 1–3 years related clinical experience preferred
  • Proficiency with computer systems, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Electronic health record experience required
  • BLS certification

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient care and scheduling for consultations, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff
  • Gather patient histories and assist with physical assessments
  • Support pre-authorization and insurance processes
  • Order and track labs, imaging, and diagnostic procedures
  • Develop and deliver patient and family education materials
  • Participate in rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement projects
  • Serve as clinical liaison for wound-related quality and safety events
  • Lead pressure injury prevalence surveys
  • Maintain clinical expertise through continuing education

Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
