Registered Nurse – Wound Care
Position Overview
Join the wound care team in a clinical coordinator role supporting patient care from initial consultation through discharge and follow-up. You'll work closely with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary providers to manage patient flow, education, and quality initiatives.
Shift & Schedule
- 8-hour day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- No float required
- 13-week contract
- Start date: October 12, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
- 1–3 years related clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency with computer systems, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Electronic health record experience required
- BLS certification
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care and scheduling for consultations, diagnostics, and treatments
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff
- Gather patient histories and assist with physical assessments
- Support pre-authorization and insurance processes
- Order and track labs, imaging, and diagnostic procedures
- Develop and deliver patient and family education materials
- Participate in rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement projects
- Serve as clinical liaison for wound-related quality and safety events
- Lead pressure injury prevalence surveys
- Maintain clinical expertise through continuing education
Preferences
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
