Registered Nurse – Critical Care

Position Overview

Join the Critical Care Center as a Registered Nurse on the night shift. This 8-week contract offers 72 guaranteed hours biweekly, providing stable, predictable work in a focused critical care environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Start date: November 30, 2026

Unit Details

You'll work in a critical care unit serving adult and geriatric patients with medical and surgical conditions. The setting includes 24-hour intensivist coverage, enabling collaborative, high-quality care.

Clinical Scope

• Ventilator management and weaning
• Vasoactive and sedation titration
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Post-STEMI care
• General critical care nursing for diverse patient populations

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN license
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2+ years ICU experience
• Demonstrated competency in core critical care skills
• CCRN preferred
• Evidence of relevant continuing education

Additional Information

• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
• Maximum 3 days RTO; no holiday RTO
• Pre-acceptance pass-fail testing for telemetry/ECG and medications
• No float required
