Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 13-week contract in a busy endoscopy suite. You'll work across pre-op, procedure, and PACU roles, supporting both adult and pediatric patients undergoing a wide range of endoscopic procedures.

Schedule

• Four 9-hour shifts per week, Monday–Friday (variable start times based on daily assignment)
• Pre-op: 6:30 AM–4:00 PM or 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
• PACU: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM or 8:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Procedure: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
• One overnight call shift per week (end of shift through 7:00 AM, or from 5:00 PM–7:00 AM if not working that day)
• Two 24-hour weekend call shifts per 6-week period
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope

The endoscopy suite performs adult and pediatric procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EUS, ERCP, EBUS, bronchoscopy, stent placements, PEG placement, tracheostomy placement, capsule endoscopy, and foreign body removal. You'll care for patients ages 1–18 in pediatric cases and support high-acuity diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact State nursing license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Prior endoscopy experience required
• Pediatric or pulmonary endoscopy experience preferred

Unit Details

• 8 pre-op beds, 6 PACU beds, 4 procedure rooms
• Staff varies by case volume (12–16 team members)
• Green surgical scrubs provided; navy blue acceptable
• No block scheduling; no mandatory float
