Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 13-week contract in Asheville, NC. You'll work four 9-hour day shifts per week (Monday–Friday) across pre-op, procedure, and PACU roles. Start times vary by daily assignment: pre-op 0630–1630, procedure 0730–1700, or PACU 0800–1800.

Schedule & Call

• Four 9-hour day shifts weekly
• One overnight call shift per week (call starts at end of shift or 1700 if not working that day; extends until 0700)
• Two 24-hour weekend call shifts per 6-week period
• Guaranteed 36 hours weekly

Clinical Scope

You'll support a high-volume endoscopy service performing adult and pediatric procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EUS, ERCP, EBUS, bronchoscopy (including ION navigational), stent placements, PEG and tracheostomy placement, foreign body removal, and pulmonary cryo therapy. The unit operates four procedure rooms with variable staffing (12–16 RNs) based on case volume.

Required Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Active NC or Compact State nursing license
• Prior endoscopy experience required

Preferred Experience

• Pediatric endoscopy
• Pulmonary endoscopy
• Endoscopy tech background

Unit Details

• Dress code: Green surgical scrubs (Navy Blue acceptable)
• No block scheduling or floating
• No permanent residence commute expected
