Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract

Greensboro, NC | Days | 13-Week Contract

This telemetry-capable Medical/Surgical unit primarily serves adult and geriatric patients across a broad range of diagnoses. Travelers will provide direct patient care and must be comfortable managing high-acuity conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float required across multiple campuses when census demands

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• General medical/surgical diagnoses
• Respiratory conditions and management
• Observation and surgical/post-op patients
• Diabetes management, including new diagnoses and complications
• Palliative, end-of-life, and hospice care
• Psychiatric observation

Required Skills

• BiPAP/CPAP management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration, PICC and peripheral line care
• Chest tube, surgical drain, and wound vac management
• Feeding tube care, colostomy/ileostomy management
• Pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure experience
• Oral suctioning, isolation precautions/PPE, rapid response/code team participation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Electronic health record experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred

Additional Details

• Orientation: 48 hours
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• No candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• RTO must be submitted with application; no post-submission requests accepted
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
