Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC | 13-Week Contract
This Med/Surg Telemetry unit primarily serves a medical/surgical patient population with telemetry capability. The unit cares for adults and geriatrics across a broad range of diagnoses, including respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical cases, diabetes management (including complications), pre/post-surgical patients, palliative/end-of-life/hospice, and psychiatric observation.
Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
- Float to other campus locations required when census is down
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- BLS and ACLS required
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
- First-time travelers welcome
Preferred
- Previous Charge RN experience
- LTAC or community hospital background
Clinical Skills
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Blood product administration
- PICC line and peripheral IV management
- Chest tube and surgical drain care
- Wound care/wound vac
- Pre/post hemodialysis management
- Feeding tube care
- Rapid response/code team participation
Additional Details
- 13-week contract; start date October 5, 2026
- 48-hour orientation
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- No local candidates within 50-mile radius
- RTO must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
- Third-party education verification required
