Charge Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Charge Nurse to support the Director in achieving departmental goals and providing clinical leadership on the night shift. You'll serve as charge nurse, quality coordinator, and key resource for your unit while providing administrative backup as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct total nursing care for assigned residents/patients
  • Conduct assessments, plan care, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing and ancillary team members
  • Participate in patient and family education
  • Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality per facility policy
  • Assist the Director in quality management initiatives and departmental objectives

Qualifications

  • Active State of Maine or Compact RN license required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (minimum)
  • Minimum 3 years nursing experience
  • BLS certification required

Shift & Contract Details

  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, nights
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Start Date: October 5, 2026
  • Note: The facility may call off or cancel up to 3 shifts per assignment. Traveler must reside 50+ miles from the facility.
