Critical Care Nurse – Hospice
Atlanta, GA | NOC Shift | 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Critical Care Nurse for night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) work. You'll provide high-acuity care in a complex, fast-paced environment with a focus on end-of-life and hospice support.
Schedule & Requirements
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
- Float support to 5G Complex as needed
- NIHSS and AHA BLS certification required at start
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients requiring:
- Ventilator management and monitoring
- Non-titratable vasoactive drip administration
- Comfort medication protocols (Morphine, Dilaudid, Versed, Fentanyl, Haldol, Robinul, scopolamine patch, Ativan)
- Postmortem care
- End-of-life comfort care and family support
Ideal Candidate
- Current RN license (Georgia)
- Demonstrated experience with mechanical ventilation and vasoactive medications
- Strong hospice or end-of-life care background
- Ability to provide compassionate, dignity-focused care
- Comfortable with float assignments across units
