Neuro ICU – Registered Nurse | Lexington, KY

Nights | 13-Week Contract | Start: October 19, 2026

This Neuro ICU position is an excellent fit for an experienced critical care nurse with a strong neurological background. The unit manages high-acuity patients requiring intensive neurological monitoring and comprehensive critical care support.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (nights)

Clinical Scope

• Continuous assessment and monitoring of critically ill neurological patients
• Management of titratable vasoactive, sedation, and neurological drip therapies
• Care of patients on mechanical ventilation with arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Rapid response and code participation
• Collaboration with intensivists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Patient and family education, discharge planning, and care coordination

What the Facility Is Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of permanent RN experience prior to travel
• Recent Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred
• Well-rounded ICU background overall
• Demonstrated travel history showing contract extensions and minimal gaps in service

Certifications & Licensure

• Active, unrestricted RN license (Kentucky or applicable compact)
• BLS required; ACLS required
• CCRN preferred

Education

• ADN/ASN required; BSN preferred
