Neuro ICU | Travel RN | Lexington, KY

Nights | 13-Week Contract | Start: October 19, 2026

This Neuro ICU position is a strong fit for an experienced critical care traveler with a solid neurological background and a well-rounded ICU foundation. The unit manages complex, high-acuity neurological and neurosurgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced critical care support.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week

Clinical Scope

• Continuous assessment and management of critically ill neuro patients
• Administration of titratable vasoactive, sedation, and neurological drips
• Management of arterial lines, central lines, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Ventilator management and airway support
• Rapid response and code participation
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with intensivists and the broader care team
• Patient and family education on condition, treatment, and discharge planning

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (Kentucky or applicable compact)
• BLS required; ACLS required
• ADN accepted; BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of permanent RN experience prior to travel
• Recent Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred
• Well-rounded ICU background across acuity levels
• Demonstrated travel history with extended contracts and minimal gaps in service
