Echocardiology Technologist
About the Role
The facility's Diagnostic Imaging department is seeking an experienced Echocardiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic echocardiography studies across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical settings. You'll obtain diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images and measurements that support the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease, working closely with cardiologists and care teams to impact patient outcomes directly.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, limited studies, contrast studies, and bubble studies per departmental protocols
- Produce accurate cardiac measurements and diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all examinations
- Apply clinical judgment to recognize significant abnormalities and communicate urgent findings
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support timely patient care
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum one year of echocardiography experience
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, Doppler principles, and imaging techniques
Shift & Contract Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (32 guaranteed hours per week)
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start: Mid-September 2026 (Wednesday start date)
- Note: A dependable personal vehicle is required; public transportation is not available in this rural area. Housing is not provided.
